I couldn't make work Lazarus Online Help on Ubuntu 9.10. The first show stopper is the inability to launch an web browser from Lazarus. The Ubuntu default FireFox is not recognized in the browser search code, and a manual fix in Environment Options didn't work. The invoked shell script (why that?) doesn't launch FireFox.

Next comes the inability to configure the URLs. I found the HTML files installed in /usr/share/..., but even when I set the path to this directory, I get an error like "StartPage could not find /usr/lib/.../index.html". Obviously my settings are *ignored* :-(

Furthermore the URLs should be preconfigured, what should be easy for the default web resources. It would be okay if these are hard coded somewhere, so that the Options only reflect local copies - please clarify! Eventually the (advanced) user should have a chance to select help from local or remote resources, which are updated independently from each other.
