I never found out how to overcome this. I seem to remember that I also asked in the forum some day.
You only told about a fpc src.rpm, that you downloaded from the freepascal project on SF. Note that you only need a src.rpm, if you want to (re)build a rpm for another architecture, not for Lazarus.

I nows did build fpc and Lazarus from the svn. Seems to work fine.
