There's no such routine.
You can write a routine that converts alphanumeric number to integer
and back. Since it's easier to evaluate integers.

I need to increment (and if possible, decrement) a VarChar field.
Thanks for the help, it's an interesting idea to convert to integer and
later increase. :)
