Plus, Lazarus already uses UTF-8 since years, people should already be
used to Length not representing chars...
except us long time, old school newbies who are finally attempting to move from
TP/BP to FPC/Lazarus ;) it is a huge jump over delphi and into this fancy
schmancy new unicode (wotz'at?) world... i won't even mention objects and GUI
stuffings :P
