No, it's not compatible with VCL. ;-)
Of course I do know this.
In the end it's not compatible to the GUI part of the LCL, there are
lots of functions in the LCL that are not (necessarily) tied to the GUI.
In fact I did not mean my question as a technical decision but just
regarding source code managing. There could be another directory besides
the LCL-GUI stuff that also is managed within the Lazarus svn tree.
