First of all, i wish you all, *** Merry Christmas ***

Mattias,

I´m not sure, but i still think that this is an IDE Bug.
I was checking my configuration here and:

1) All -Fr entries in my fpc.cfg is quoted.

2) I configured the IDE to load the compiler error messages at Tools->Options->Environment->Compiler messages language file

3) I contributed with these translation in the past. The file errorptu.msg, that i loaded in IDE (2) is utf-8 encoded. This used to work.

But right now, the Message window do not display the accentuated words correctly.

An aditional problem is that if i clear the field (2), i have to start the IDE two times to get the default english error msgs. (????)

Regards,

Marcelo.

PS: Do anyone know a tool to edit the fpc compiler msg files ?

Hello list,

Something weird is happening with the Messages Window. Accentuated words in portuguese aren´t displaying correctly.
It seems that the window aren´t understanding the UTF-8 encoding.

And more, if i set the IDE language to english, the messages still display in portuguese.

Using Lazarus 0.9.31 revision 34371 – win64
FPC 2.7.1 revision 19883

Any ideas?

The messages are coming from FPC, which has its own translations. Search
your fpc.cfg for parameter -Fr

I will ask on the FPC list how to solve this in general.

Mattias
