I've just been looking through local emails so that I can tack the v1.0 announcement into an appropriate place, and I see that the first time I mentioned it to colleagues was at 0.9.14 in '06 but also that Marco helped me get an early version going in '04.
So while the applause and congratulations are in the announcement thread, I'd like to express quiet gratitude to /everybody/ who is or has been involved with the project. And I'd also like to suggest that somebody hoist a glass /in/ /absentia/ to the developers of some of the predecessor and constituent projects including Sybil and Megido, and also to the Borland pioneers of distant memory as they hauled their wagons over the passes and towards the promised land of Scotts Valley.
