Hello,

I am kinda new to all this stuff, I've never worked with Lazarus, never even
programed...
So I installed Lazarus, using theese instructions -
http://wiki.freepascal.org/Installing_Lazarus_on_MacOS_X (Installation from
disk images),I have a mac book, co I got xCode as well and downloaded the
command lines loot and other stuff.

Then I went on, created a new program and wrote a short greeting program to
try it out. I wanted to set a breakpoint, and thats where the first problem
occured - a window popped up sayin -
"There is no debugger specified. Settings breakpoints have no effect until
you setup a Debugger in the debugger options dialog in the menu"

when I openned the menu and checked, everything matched the instructions on
freepascal wiki. So I proceeded. Choosing the option - Set a breakpoint
anyway- the breakpoint was set. But when I tried to run the program, another
window popped up -
"debugger invalid - the debugger "usr/bin/gdb" does not exist or is not
executable."

I tried several things I looked up on the internet from which none have
worked. Finally I tried to uninstall the whole lazarus, as I thought maybe I
just messed up sth during the instalation. But Im not sure I managed to do
it properly since I've never used the terminal tool...

Then I installed it again, but the same problem occured.

>From what I understood the debugger is missing ?
What can I do to make it work ?

Thanks for any help,
Michaela.
