1. To my knowledge, Brook is built on top of fcl-web, so there is no 'instead' ?
2. Brook didn't exist at the time, it is a very young framework.

Yes, but it already is being used in production, and thanks to the
contributions, it is getting very stable. :)

I didn't mean to say that it's not usable, just that at the time when I looked for something
(some years ago), it was simply not yet available.
But, and please do not take this wrong, I would like to see some more demos on
your website:
At the moment, based on available examples, I simply don't see the advantage of using brook
over plain fcl-web. If I look at the samples you currently provide, it looks like a thin
layer on top of fcl-web, and fcl-db.
I am biased, obviously, but I think that a newbie also needs more examples to see what brook
can do for him/her.
