I'm not sure, but IMO it's something connected with debugger... In my
lazarus (linux, x64, gtk2) it have sometimes same behavior.... When I
run project (new, empty, just button) by F9 (time by time) it shows just
empty form. Running executable from bash (same, without recompilation)
makes no problem... It appears for simple in lets say 10% of F9 hits...

Expected behaviour when hitting F9 would be a form with a button that's
capable of making the form disappear.
What I get is: A blank form, no button.
Maybe the lfm is not loaded.
Check your directive {$R *.lfm}.
Try building clean.

I actually thought I was building 'clean'...
I meant your project. Maybe you have a wrong ppu or lfm file in your
output directory.
