That is obviously correct, but not "nice".
I do have working code for my long-time-project "ActiveNoGUI" and I will restart working on that as soon I have some spare time.
I was in waiting state until the "*released*" Lazarus comes with an fpc version that supports TThread.Queue, which is a prerequisite for doing an "ActiveNoGUI" Widget Type for Lazarus (that also supports Application.QueueAsyncCall). AFAIK this now is given, but I did not yet check (and don't now how I should check it, as "comes with" is not really defined ).
