On kde (kubuntu 15.10) with compositing disabled the window never disappears (when I click on the checkbox it just stays there without the graph moving) and it has black corners, as well a a black background in the slider. The thing that bothers me isn't the UI so much as that on the only x86-64 machine I've got with a directly-attached screen (2GHz, single core) top shows it using about 8% CPU.
