| So what do you really want. Use the diff tool in lazarus only??

I was thinking purely about the line ending "editor modes". A diff tool inside
lazarus is another thing...
"SVN mode" would be the same as "unix mode" or "pc mode" (depending on which we
chose as the standard format). I don't like not knowing what the current file
I'm editing is. Is it a unix file or a win file? EditPlus tells you in the
status bar (and many other editors). So SVN mode would probably be Unix mode
since SVN is a unix tool.. but we could call it SVN mode just so users know that
this mode they are in is the correct SVN format. Or just point users to use Unix
Mode for editing files that will be updated on SVN.. but "SVN mode" is just more
obvious for them.

Well, a diff tool in the IDE could be a package, plug in, or one of those "set
it up your self" tools in the configure tools menu..or it could be integrated
right into the editor. Dunno what is best....I think people sometimes are too
lazy to configure tools themselves, so it is nice to have a pre-ready
package/plugin or integrated tool.
