I respect what you are saying but I have a total different experience
with DevExpress, I (and my colleagues) use most of their software and
have no major technical problems. Talking on it's libraries we mainly
mean the Grid which is a development platform it's self saving hours and
hours of coding. Other DevExpress libraries are important but not
critical. What I know is that when talking to developers (database
management mostly) regarding alternative development environments I get
same question: what about a Grid such DevExpress?

I certainly agree to these and more others. I believe that the key for a
development environment to succeed is the available addons.
As important is the environment to run smoothly and bug free, so
important is to attract third parties to support it.
