I use Delphi 6 and 5. Delphi 5 is missing the object inspector, so this is a
huge chunk
missing. But if you know the ESCAPE key shortcut its not as bad. Delphi 5 is
extremely fast
compared to Delphi 6 and 7. Delphi 6, in my case, I think crashed less than
Delphi 5 though.
There is some problem with Delphi 7 where it locks up my CPU for a few seconds,
every few
minutes. I think it is precompiling the units or something, taking intensive
CPU power. Yet
Delphi 5 compiles things fast, so I don't know why they would have changed their
pre-compiling tactics.
I think Dave Fuller resigned from CEO position sometime earlier this year?
