Trouble is that UTF8 won't show half the characters, I did a small test this 
morning quickly, and ran export LANG="pt_BR" before attempting to use the 
Brazilian Portoguese one - it had no effect. 
Whatever tells GTK2 what language to expect, it's not $LANG.

Though I see you wrote UTB8, was the B a typo or did I miss something ?
