edit Makefile.fpc, find "LCL_PLATFORM=gtk", replace by
"LCL_PLATFORM=gtk2", run "fpcmake", run "make"

I use Ubuntu Breezy and it has all dev packages needed (they are named a
bit strangely but I suspect this is debian heritage)
