You really could pass the sarcastic comment, but then I'm just too happy to mind =)

You can:

1 - cut the image to show only the window you are trying to show us. PaintBrush can do that on Windows and gimp on linux.

2 - Make sure you save the image on a heavely compressed format, like jpeg.

3 - If it's still big you can always try to zip it.

If nothing gets the image smaller then 40kb you really need to get it a hosting space. Wikipedia is not for that, but you may submit a image over there on an emergency.

PS: Please answer to the mailling list and not to me... unfortunatly gmail puts a Reply-To stuff that interferes with the mailling list =/
