completley, but i've been doing a little bit of messing around
recently with 'libsdl' and the 'JEDI-SDL' wrappers.
i think SDL supports "blitting".

i know it is portable to windows and linux, not sure about mac.
Do JEDI things work in Lazarus-FreePascal?
I think JEDI started out as a Delphi component project.
