Now there you talk! Including RemObjects could dramatically boost the
flexibility of this report engine.

As for the licencing, it is weird, but I feel like the LGPL+Exception
of lazarus could heve been asnwered by the MPL... but it is so
probably due to historical reasons. A year ago we had an interesting
talk on this mailling list on the licencing. It is now clear enought
any-way to be used almost like a MPL when it comes to build
applications.

But as you say the LGPL restriction of LazReport is a problem for
commercial or other-licence-based apps.
