If the LANG variable tells gtk1 to use UTF8, it does the above for invalid
UTF8 strings.
I will try to set the variable to something other ..
gtk2 dont drat the strings from the position of the char and gtk dont
draw
the whole string.
also in runtime added Menueitems have width 0 on gtk and something like
width/20 on gtk2 ?!
Its an standart SuSE installation (10.0) never seen this somebody ?
The most Menue Items from the Packages menue arend there when German
language is setted ?
