I dont know about tpqconnection... yet.
But usually there is an event about early config parameters where you
can hardcode some odbc stuff or set login and password. You could use
this event to prompt your form then use the returned parameters to try
to login by setting the login/pass. Then the connector will try to
connect to the db.
This is just a guess, because I did not see this control. (I'm still
thinking a lot from the Delphi 3 world.)
