Sorry,  I meant other than Lazarus and FPC, eg: binutils, gtk, qt ...

I think a mention of what packages to look for would suffice.  The
binary package option will be a huge task.

eg: Ubuntu:   apt-get install <packagename>

I am installing a new development system at home using Ubuntu, so
could start with some note for that.  Where would be a good place to
store those notes.  I would think on the wiki, but also in the
Lazarus/docs/install file or something. Some requirements section
could be added.
