Isn't this a LCL bug/limitation? Win32 just sends WM_CHAR when the
composition is finished, but LCL (at least in GTK) sends WM_CHAR even
for dead keys.
Right.
We have to find out, how to recognize dead keys and how to create the
correct value.
iirc on gtk2 this is possible. Only at this moment, gtk2 uses the gtk1
key detection. It is still on my todo list to change that.
