I think it's a good idea to add this compatibility code to fpcunit with
a little improvement: I would declare the CheckEquals methods as class
methods, to be able to use them outside the TTestCase class.
I did that as my first attempt, but at that stage I was very new to
FPC and wasn't sure how to recompile it, and how to tell Lazarus where
to find those new .ppu files, etc... I then reverted my changes and
moved the code to the TtiTestCase class.
I suppose I could make those changes again and submit a patch.
