Hello All,
Quick Question, relating to using the propstorage components in Linux... how
do you handle the fact that normal users should be able to store their
preference files in their homedirectory ?
I mean it's easy enough to get that,
Filename := GetEnvironmentVariable('HOME')+'.myapplication.xml'
Or something like that - but that is not a value that can be compiled in - you
can only get that at runtime.

Is there a way to set TXMLPropStorage.Filename at runtime so it still works ?

I have for testing tried setting it at form creation as well as in the
savingproperties and restoringproperties events.

So far it doesn't seem to be saving, and certainly not creating the file.

Any suggestion on how this could be approach to be truly multi-user safe ?

Ciao
A.J.
