But it means the IDE can not write to its config directory. Either the disk is full or some other error occur. Please remove /var/root/.lazarus ad try again. If this does not help, please try to start with lazarus --primary-config-path=/tmp/.lazarus If this helps then something is broken with /var/root/.lazarus.
