Well..
I did install binutils and fpc again, and this time with no errors, but
lazarus still gives the same error (despite it takes longer):
Compiling cleandirdlg.pas
Linking ../lazarus
lazarus.pp(113,1) Error: Can't call the linker, switching to external linking
make[2]: *** [lazarus] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory `/home/leonardo/development/lazarus/ide'
make[1]: *** [ide] Error 2
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/leonardo/development/lazarus/ide'
make: *** [ide] Error 2
the first thing I check was disk space, still have over 200 Mb when the
error is thrown.
