FPC does not provide debian packages.
This would mean, we must provide the FPC debs.
Lazarus has a very simple file structure - one directory, two symlinks and
an icon. So creating a lazarus deb is easy.
FPC is far more work.
But FPC does provide tar.gz . Why don't you provide tar.gz ?
Please, make a tar.gz release for the Lazarus source code.
RPM leaves Slackware(slax and other derivatives)/Debian(DSL/Ubuntu and
other derivatives/Gentoo users out of the Lazarus "fiesta".
tar.gz is far more easy to install on "agnostic distros".
