I don't get your comment about SVN, so if it's important, please elaborate ;-)

Nothing important. I don't really use the undo command in Lazarus or
Delphi editor.  And if I do undo something, it will be more than a
single line of code.  For that I use "svn diff" to show me what has
changed since my last commit to a repository.

Maybe it should better called "hard tabulation" or whatever, but yes,
"hard tabs" means the #9 character. There's no other kinds of tabs,
