Any where do you set that for Linux apps? Don't different window
managers handle this their own way? I think I remeber I one had a
issue with this.
Indeed, this is what I think. Not on kernel side, but on window
manager side. For the shell there is a program to format the datetime
as you want. (Can't remember; I'm not under linux at work... too sad.
I think it's "date", that is all.)
