FPC/Lazarus Dynamic/Shared Libraries
Hi. I have been reading both FPC and Lazarus web pages,
and Im a little confused.
What is the status of dynamic link libraries/shared objects:
1. Does FPC currently supports loading a shared library and calling a
function/procedure from a program ?
Yes
2. If (1), does FPC currently supports declaring and compiling shared
libraries ?
Yes
3. If (2), does Lazarus IDE currently supports declaring and compiling
shared libraries ?
Yes, this is a compiler option, lazarus calls FPC so this is possible
4. If (2), does Lazarus IDE currently USES shared libraries as part of its
source ?
No
5. If (4), does Lazarus IDE currently allows components packages (shared
libraries) ?
No, as far as i know, this is currently not supported by the compiler
