I would try to start, but can not find time for it. The above two sentences deserve, IMHO, to be added somewhere at: http://wiki.lazarus.freepascal.org/index.php/LCL_Unicode_Support Several weeks ago I initiated that page in an attempt to at least clarify basic terms, possibly start a knowledge base buildup and try to formulate a road map towards Lazarus support of Unicode on Win* platforms in a proper way. Currently there is not much there (just basic terms, a few useful links and some discussions/thoughts). Marco and others who are interested in Lazarus support of Unicode (especially for Win* platforms), please feel free to at least improve that page (I initiated it some weeks ago). Borut PS. Recent clarifications by Mattias could as well improve that page - the *nix orientation is not a contraindication. It is my feeling that *nix oriented people probably do not have enough feeling for Win* and vice versa (or is it just the case with myself ?:) I will quote Mattias here, just for the sake of completeness...
