Before you install that you need another package:
libqtgui4
And maybe others. It´s best to use URPMI to install those packages.
Just add a good repository that has Qt4.

Yes, but it´s desktop environment dependent. It´s much better to
create our own units. We already have good support for parallel port
for example.
