Please, do not respond with sarcasm. Florian is a dedicated developer
and we owe him a lot.

The reality is that cross-compiling is extremely complex. Acctually
it´s so complex that c++ developers have to use Live CDs to run some
cross-compilers, because configuring them is extremely hard, and
destroys the configuration of a normal desktop.

Free Pascal users already can benefit from being able to cross-compile
without the need of Live CDs. That´s already much better.

Also there are many other things involved on cross-compiling other
then Free Pascal itself.

You need the correct GNU cross-binutils, which may not even exist for
the combination of platforms you are looking for.

Also, some cross-compilation options are already distributed for easy
install, such as a RPM Package for Linux To Windows cross-compilation.
