Any idea how to remap the default screen capture application from
Gnome Capture to KSnapshot?

In the mean time I added KSnapshot launcher icon to the top Panel.

My cent of wisdom. Switch to KDE Desktop.

Since redhat 6.0 (which means a long time ago), with each new RH release, I give a fair try to Gnome Desktop, which is standard for RH. I use it for perhaps half a day, discover that most applications have changed, that many have bugs, and that I miss a lot of facilities available under KDE. Then I switch to KDE and forget about Gnome. I find application consistency from KDE 1.0 to KDE 3.5, which have been improved in the meantime, bug fixed, features added, etc. I know of many Gnome users who switched to KDE, none which went the opposite way.
