Subject: Re: [lazarus] Some problems
Sorry, I couldn't reproduce the problem.
This is what I did:
attatched an test project, insert an row to the table,
and post ist and
then try to insert an second row with the button ...
The project is incomplete, the dataset is not active at run time, so I added
a
button clicking it the dataset become active, after the grid was focused I
did:
first try:
I pressed CTRL+INS, the first record is now the second and the grid
lets me edit the first one. after edit, to post I pressed DOWN key, the grid
then moves the new record to the end (so it's the second record) and
inmmediatelly
it adds the third record (made by the DOWN key press) I simply press key
UP and I'm in the second row. Then I press button "Button1" which inserts a
record, (a) the
current secord record is then displaced down one record and the grid let me
editing
the second record, I then post it by pressing UP key, all cool, no AVs, the
new
record is moved to the end so it become the third record. I think this is a
feature of
tdbf, don't know if indices have to do, but there were no index selected in
you example
though I can see an index file is included.
Second try:
I pressed DOWN key so a new editing record is inserted at the end, it's the
second
record, I edit the record and post it by pressing again DOWN and it gets
posted,
the grid adds a new editing record at the end which I cancel by pressing UP
key,
I then press the button which inserts a new record, all happen the same way
as in
part (a) above.
No AV's, at least no with this procedure.
It's not necessary to be so verbose as I was, but I need the right sequence
to reproduce
the problem, for example, without ?ambiguity? I can follow this steps in
order to reproduce
the first try:
1. Set dbf1.active in form's OnCreate Event
2. Run
3. Click grid.
4. Press CTRL+INS
5. Type Something.
6. press Key DOWN
7. press Key UP
8. press button "button1"
9. I'm suppose here should AV, but it doesn't.
