Just curious..
In the FAQ it says: "This warning message indicates that your locale
enconding is set to utf-8. If you are using Gtk 1 this can be a
serious problem and prevent the correct working of Lazarus or software
created with Lazarus."
The serious problem is that not all keys are detected wen pressing keys.
Especialy keys which have dead chars or accented chars (which can be
made by different keystrokes).
What serious problems could happen in Lazarus or apps created with Lazarus?
Not all keyboard events are received.
I have been using a en_ZA.UTF-8 locale with lazarus, and just kept
ignoring that message and everything has been working fine. Maybe I
am just lucky. :-)
Even so, I followed the advice of the FAQ and created a script that
sets the locales correctly before executing Lazarus.
For en languages this is not a problem.
