I kind of agree, PDE's are way overrated. That's because they're trying to
hitch a ride on the plug-in hype for the sake of plug-ins and not for the
sake of funtionality abstraction. The result being really a wrapper
environment with limited integration and minimal functionality.
OTOH, an IDE with plug-in ability is driven by integration from the start.
