Why this component is under GPL and not LGPL ??
any special reason for this ?
No particular reason. Do you want to link it to propriatary software?

TZipper exists in the FCL since some time ? (fcl/inc/zipper)
It compresses one or more files to a zip file.
Lack of docs and no lpk. :-)
At least TZipFile has a wiki page....
