The point is not to say that python is bad. I don't think of it like that;
Compared to perl, it's a gem.

The 'fad' is because each time O' Reilly publishers and friends (like
Linux journal) see a new language, they proclaim it to be the alpha
and omega of programming. If someone tries to tell me that language
XYZ is now THE tool for programming, I'm rather sceptical. Most are
variations on a theme.
