I use Gtk1 and can't get Bold to work on any TLabel either. I'm using
the latest Lazarus (svn) and FPC 2.1.1 (svn).

because I don't necessarily want to change the font itself. If I try to just
change the size in the font dialog and click on OK, I get an access
violation.
