I will agree with Philip Hess that the Qt widgetset is good for
porting free software.

I didn't know if the people involved on this were aware of this issue,
so I considered ethical of my part to warn everyone =) I feel somewhat
better knowing that philip was already aware of this.

About KDE, my current guess is that they have a project license, or
something like that. We would need to request something very similar
from Trolltech.

I am thinking about contacting Trolltech, just in case someone else needs this.

In my particular case, I would need to sell quite a lot of software
for Mac OS X before buying a Qt license is worth while, and I don't
see that happening now. Even then, I write industrial software, so I
doubt they will complain if the app looks bad because it's using X11
=)
