I am not sure I can find somebody who can host them. I do have some questions

How big are they?

Not sure yet, will 7zip them tonight (see my other post). I'll see
how much I can remove from Ubuntu to get Linux as small as possible
but still usable for development. The users can then install whatever
extra software they want with Synaptic (apt).

Can you redistribute a win2000 install, legally?

Not you can't, but I wasn't going to. Only the Linux version is up for grabs.

Are you willing to maintain them, i.e. create new version when a new lazarus
release
has been made? Otherwise we would still be stuck with an image using Lazarus
0.9.20
in 2008.

Yes that will be fine. It would only involve the running of a script,
a recompile and archiving the VMWare image. They are setup with
scripts to get the latest from SubVersion. I have FPC 2.0.5 and FPC
2.1.1 setup, as well as the latest Lazarus from SubVersion.
