I just ran svn update and tried it, make clean, make, and then rebuild
from inside the IDE, worked like a charm - thanks guys (sadly I lost a
day on my big project).
To clariy for Neal, let me just say I am not on pclinuxos 2007 yet,
waiting for a stable release, so I'm on the last stable which as a
lazarus package - that being how I orriginally installed it with deps.
I have been using lazarus from svn on this system for a LONG time and
never had a problem before.

BTW. I don't know if this is newsworth for the site (it may be) but
the project I am working on is a lazarus one (just like OutKafe which
it is based on), and will see over 3000 deployments within the year.

Hi Mattias,

I have just tested the latest svn twice.

Once, I have just installed a new version of my OS PCLinuxOS TR4. They have an
fpc package 2.1.1 which I have installed. I downloaded the latest svn and
then tried my normal compile make clean all. It failed. It didn't get very
far and I haven't tested it thoroughly yet, but there may be missing gtk
libraries or other stuff.

On my current working system I have just updated svn and compiled, I work with
Laz under gtk2 and both builds proceeded without problem. The IDE under gtk
after a quick cursory glance seemed ok. Under gtk2 it rebuilt without problem
and is now running.

With all the 'weirdness' that had been happening and has now disappeared I
would say that it was indeed the bug.

many thanks

neal.
