[lazarus] How to hide the mouse cursor?

Hi,

I need to hide the mouse cursor in my app. Changing it with 
Screen.Cursor:=crSomething works, setting it to crNone does not have any 
effect. Any ideas?
Btw this is on Linux, gtk1.
