My next thougth was:

Maybe I should call GetFixedWindow from gtkproc and use that to set
the cursor. Didn't work

And the next thougth:

Maybe setting the cursor from a button onclick is impossible, so I
created a trivial gtk app without lcl and it worked.

This looks like the time when I tryed to implement TForm.Color on Gtk.
On my gtk apps without lcl it always works. With lcl, it never works
=(

There is something about how LCL creates it's gtk windows that I just
don't get, and whatever that it, this makes my attempts to directly
call gtk function futile.

I just went througth the gtk interface code, but I can't find anything
that explains why it doesn't work.
