Hi, There is also the problem of the fonts. It seams to me that a standard Windows XP installation doesn't come with any font that supports russian and polnish glyphs, for example. The standard MS Sans Serif supports only western latin glyphs.
So, it would be great to have 1 font with a huge amount of glyphs, and preferably with a very redistribution friendly license (BSD fonts??? =) ). On this site: http://www.alanwood.net/unicode/fonts.html I found Bitstream CyberBit – 29,934 glyphs in version beta v2.0 Downloadable here: ftp://ftp.netscape.com/pub/communicator/extras/fonts/windows/ It is great, but according to the licence it doesn't seam redistributable. Does anyone know some good unicode fonts with liberal licensing? Ah, and it should resamble MS Sans Serif so it can be used in Graphical User Interfaces on Windows. I got tired of the IFDEFs for ISO / UTF-8, so I am extending the Lazarus unicode support, but I need a good unicode font to distribute together with the Virtual Magnifying Glass. thanks, -- Felipe Monteiro de Carvalho _________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe: mail [EMAIL PROTECTED] with "unsubscribe" as the Subject archives at http://www.lazarus.freepascal.org/mailarchives
