Keys like ENTER DEL or BACKSPACE print square chars instead of doing
what they are supposed to do.
e.g. open a search dialog, try to delete part of the search text using
BACKSPACE prints squares. Then pressing ENTER to start the search
prints another square instead of executing the ok button.
Just reverted 11725 and everything is back to normal.
