We use {$mode objfpc} for our in-house projects and it hasn't got any
issues beautifying the code. Just tried it on a unit in fpGUI that
contains operator overloads and it does complain there, but no other
complaints I could find on other units.

Again all things that could be fixed and with less effort that
starting from scratch.

What silence do we needed for it to work? If you let me know, I'll
contact the authors of JCF and ask permission for a alternate license
with the Lazarus project. Many projects I've worked on allow such
exemptions, but you need to ask to get them.
